Privacy Policy

Forkseer (“we,” “our,” or “us”), operated by Clearway Design LLC, is a decision journal. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and your rights.
Where your data lives
Forkseer has no accounts. Your decisions, conversations, analyses, and reviews are stored in a database on your device. We do not run a server that keeps a copy of your decision history. Deleting the app deletes your data.
What leaves your device
Decision text. When Forkseer asks questions or builds an analysis, the text of your decision and your answers is sent to our processing service and forwarded to a third-party AI provider to generate the response. These requests are not used to train AI models.
Voice recordings. If you use dictation, your audio is sent to our processing service and forwarded to a third-party speech-to-text provider solely to produce a transcription. Audio is not stored — it is discarded once transcription completes. Our service logs record the length of a transcription, never its content.
Device identifier. A random identifier created on install accompanies these requests for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. It is not tied to your name, email, or any account.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used — which screens are visited and which features are exercised. Analytics events do not contain the text of your decisions. Analytics are not used for advertising.
Subscriptions
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase information to verify subscription status. We store only whether the app is currently subscribed. We never see your full payment details.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We do not train AI models on your content.
Notifications
Review reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.
Data retention and deletion
Everything on your device is yours: you can export your full decision log from Settings at any time, and deleting the app removes all of it. Our processing service retains no decision content after a request completes; operational logs are kept briefly for reliability and abuse prevention.
Children’s privacy
Forkseer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Because your data lives on your device, you can read, export, or erase it directly. If you have questions about data our processors handle, contact us and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be called out in the app.
